Weei AM in Boston is reporting that Red Sox pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka will be put on the DL with shoulder fatigue. The Red Sox will call up reliver Hunter Jones. Many will point to the World Baseball classic as the blame for this stint on the DL for Daisuke. Did he simply over work his arm in pitching in those games in March, now I know he was named the MVP in both Classics but he works for the Red Sox. This is no way for an employee to report to work.

Sox Break Camp With Some New Faces For ‘09 Campaign
Filling The Void- The Red Sox will be counting on journeyman infielder Nick Green to take over the backup infielders spot left vacated by injured Julio Lugo. Green earned his job by having a solid camp in which he hit really well against Major League pitching. Green has traveled around the majors for many years and may have finally found a home in Boston. Green can play all four infield positions as well as the outfield if needed. He is a stable player and if Jed Lowrie continues to struggle at the plate look for Francona to call Green’s number.
