Why Colt McCoy Will Win The Heisman Trophy ?- Heisman Prediction

December 2nd, 2008

And Your 2008 Heisman Trophy Winner Is ...

COLT McCOY OF TEXAS

THE 2008 HEISMAN WINNER SHOULD BE COLT McCOY OF TEXAS

The Next Best Thing

Colt McCoy and the Texas Longhorns got screwed out of a shot to play in the Big 12 Championship due to the horrendous system of the BCS. This is the first time that a team has beaten both teams playing in the conference championship. You have to feel sorry for the kids at Texas as they had a tremendous season and they will now have to sit home and hope that Missouri pulls off an amazing upset over Oklahoma on Saturday. Things may not be so bad for McCoy even if his team doesn’t make it to the big game in my eyes he will still be crowned with the 2008 Heisman Trophy.

OFFENSIVE JUGGERNAUTS CLASH IN LUBBOCK - BIG 12 SHOWDOWN BETWEEN TEXAS AND TEXAS TECH

October 29th, 2008

These Underdogs Have Something To Prove- In My Big 12 Preseason Preview I talked about how Mike Leach and the Texas Tech Red Raiders were on a crash course to an 8-0 clash with Texas. Well 9 weeks ago the journey began and last week the Red Raiders took care of their first major hurdle by going into Kansas and throwing up 58 on Mark Mangino’s defense. Now the Red Raiders are just 2 days away from the biggest game of their season, and for Mike Leach the biggest game in his 5 years coaching at Texas Tech, as they host Mack Brown and the BCS Consensus Number 1 Team in the Nation-Texas Longhorns. This is the second of a brutal four game stretch that already included a win and a trip to Kansas with still to come hosting Texas this week and Oklahoma St. next. The stretch ends off with a tough trip to Norman to battle the Sooners. With these tough games virtually no one is giving Mike Leach and the Red Raiders a shot at playing in either the Big 12 Title Game or the BCS National Championship Game. Under Leach the Red Raiders are just 10-26 vs ranked teams and 63-11 vs everyone else.
